Paul Cadmus (American, 1904-1999). Crayon drawing on acid free board prepared with acrylic gesso and raw sienna pigment depicting a male nude lying on his side, viewed from the back, with his right arm tucked behind his back while the left rests underneath his head. Signed in red crayon and dated “8 3 97” in pencil along the upper left. Numbered Z/13 along the lower right. Inscription in pencil along the verso reads: “acrylic gesso (+ raw sienna pigment) on acid free board.”

Provenance: Estate of Paul Cadmus (d. 1999) afterwards Jon Anderson (d. 2018).
