Gerald Brockhurst “Adolescence” Etching
Gerald Brockhurst (English, 1890-1978). Etching on wove paper titled “Adolescence,” 1932, depicting a young nude woman gazing at herself in the mirror. Pencil signed along the lower right and inscribed “W 75” along the lower left. The sitter for this artwork was the artist’s second wife, Kathleen, with whom he fell in love while she was working as his artist’s model.
