19th c. Chinese Scholar’s Rock w/ Stand

One Chinese scholar’s rock or Lingbi stone on a rosewood and basalt stone stand, 19th century. In a dark grey color with a craggy form and a central large aperture. The vertical stone is striated on a diagonal in a manner reminiscent of clouds. The stone tapers smaller as it reaches the bottom and connects with the base. It is held in a tumult of clouds or waves which in turn is supported by a dysmorphic rosewood stand resting on five low feet.
