Likely Archaic Chinese Jade Fish Pendant
Likely archaic Chinese jade fish pendant. With incised eyes and fins, a pierced mouth, and a tail with slanting sharpened edge and point. The thin pendant of a dark green celadon-colored mottled stone with russet inclusions; slightly translucent. The pendant bears strong resemblances to examples from the Shang and Western Zhou dynasties. The polish, form, and patina all suggest archaic dating.
