Signed, titled, and dated along the lower right. Noel Rockmore, born Noel Montgomery Davis, was a prolific artist, draughtsman, and sculptor. Changing his name in the middle of his career, he commuted between New York and New Orleans as the abstract expressionist movement gained momentum.
