Quezal, American. A decorative Arts and Crafts glass feather painted shade. With golden swirling iridescent decoration throughout. Marked along the neck of the shade. Quezal was founded by two former employees of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s glassworks, Martin Bach and Thomas Johnson. They named the company after the brightly feathered Central American quetzal bird and used similar manufacturing techniques employed by the Tiffany factory.
