St. Louis Crystal, France. Set of sixteen hock wine stemware in chartreuse, each decorated with the Thistle pattern including an encrusted gold border of scrolling floral acanthus leaves flanked by beaded bands. Marked “St. Louis Crystal” along the underside. Each piece is mouth-blown and hand-cut with the gold applied by hand after the crystal is etched in relief. The pieces are then re-fired, making the gold part of the glass.
